You can use all the baits in the world and cover them in every substance known to man in order to catch more fish and true this does work.

Ignore scum bubbles and fizzy short lived bubbles what you are looking for are a cluster of bubbles which the tench produce though its gills. The best thing is identify these bubbles and you know your tench is feeding as these bubbles are produced when the fish is eating!
