When going for that specimen sized fish try fishing in the dark this is the time the fish naturally feed with more intent

Rare Silver.
The silver bream in British waters are rare.

They are now confined to areas in the Midlands and East Anglia and can be found in its favourite haunts of slower moving water.

It will fall to most small baits however so will most other fish too!

The silver bream lacks the thick mucus covering that common bream have and they have as their name suggests large scales which are silvery in apperance.

It also has a high dorsal fin and pinky anal and pectoral fins which are not unlike the dace in apperance.

When floating use buoyant baits such as bread flake big ones or crust and the reason for this? These type of baits will lie ontop of the weed

Strike at the more unusual movements you see bream inhale bait and where as with other fish there is definate slams its the unusual you are looking for

If you have your waggler out then one tip to avoid drift use some washing up liquid on the line. This will sink your line quicker or as an alternative use at least six SSG making drift less of an influence on your line
